May 18th 2008

Project Judah, dedicated to enlisting new potential donors on the Bone Marrow Stem Cell registry
will be at the Israeli Festival in Woodley Park on May 18th all day.
Please join me, recruiting , and assisting the City of Hope personnel on this day. Perhaps one day we won't need donors, but until that day comes we will continue to recruit .

Testing is just a cotton swab in the mouth and there is no cost to the enrollee. The more people who are on the list the greater the chance for a "perfect" match.

We are grateful to the young man who was Judah's donor. He wishes to remain anonymous. But our gratitude is public.

Stop by and say hello, its always good to hear from Judah's friends.

Judah in Lafayette

Posted by Picasa

New Photos

Last month a piece of mail came addressed to both Seymour and myself. It was a personal note with a feminine handwriting on it. I knew immediately that this was from the past. I hesitated to open it for a minute, took a deep breath and found a wonderful surprise. Photos of Judah that I had never seen. One of his friends from Lafayette had read about Judah's passing in the school alumni newspaper. She had the grace to send me a beautiful note with these pictures. I called her and of course cried, but they were good if it were good tears. I miss Judah so much its hard to put into words. Passover will be here in two weeks, of course, I'll never forget the last two seders we had with Judah. One at the City of Hope and the other in the house where he said goodby to every one.

I love to hear from all of his friends, see photos of their babies, read about jobs, careers and of course love to hear Judah stories. Its a way of keeping him here with us.
